Android - Disable setting in Action Bar

How do I delete the settings menu on the Action Bar? , I have tried deleting some code, but instead affect the sliding menu

so, which part should I change? , please help to change it, but does not interfere with my sliding menu

Answer

problem:

boolean drawerOpen = mDrawerLayout.isDrawerOpen(mDrawerList);
menu.findItem(R.id.action_settings).setVisible(!drawerOpen);

If the drawerOpen is true then the Overflow will disappear when drawer is open and appear when the drawer is close, so the correct way of doing it is.

solution:

menu.findItem(R.id.action_settings).setVisible(drawerOpen);
