Why am I getting a NoSuchBucket 404 error when forwarding www?

I'm trying to forward (with masking) to my Amazon S3 hosted static site at

For some reason forwards just fine, but does not. I even tried adding www as a subdomain and forwarding from there.

What could be causing this error?

Bucketname are a global namespace on Amazon S3 and must be unique. Read more about this here.

So, you can create another Bucketname with, if you want to use it with www.*

I don`t try/needed it before... but I found this article, for routing with Route53.
