Python Question

So I have a little problem. I have a data set in scipy that is already in the histogram format, so I have the center of the bins and the number of events per bin. How can I now plot is as a histogram. I tried just doing

`bins, n=hist()`

but it didn't like that. Any recommendations?

Answer

```
import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
import numpy as np
mu, sigma = 100, 15
x = mu + sigma * np.random.randn(10000)
hist, bins = np.histogram(x, bins=50)
width = 0.7 * (bins[1] - bins[0])
center = (bins[:-1] + bins[1:]) / 2
plt.bar(center, hist, align='center', width=width)
plt.show()
```

The object-oriented interface is also straightforward:

```
fig, ax = plt.subplots()
ax.bar(center, hist, align='center', width=width)
fig.savefig("1.png")
```
