Linux Question

Kali linux settings not opening

I have a desktop which I use Kali Linux on. I haven't used it in a while(1-2 months) but now when I boot it up and try opening the settings, it just shows it loading and then disappears. I have tried opening from the terminal and the error I get is

gnome-control-center: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ undefined symbol: sqlite3_errstr

I have no idea why this error is occuring nor how to fix it so help would be much appreciated. I am using a 64-bit version of kali.

This problem has a solution listed here.

Since you have not used Kali in so long, try updating and reinstalling gnome-control-center. You can update with:

apt-get update

And then reinstalling with

apt-get install --reinstall gnome-control-center
