CSS Question

Background-size not working css

Ok, so I'm having a little problem. I've spent about 3 hours looking on this site for an answer. I have a css file and I'm trying to put an SVG picture in the background but

background-size: 75px 75px;
doesn't work.
I have tried using both of these, but they don't work:

section.main .content { margin: 15px; background: no-repeat centre top/75px 75px no-repeat; padding-top: 85px; }

section.main .content { margin: 15px; background: no-repeat centre top; background-size: 75px 75px no-repeat; padding-top: 85px; }

In programmers notepad the word
background-size
is red and on the webpage it's supposed to look like this:

but I'm getting this result:

Here is my full code:

Answer

I can tell from your code that you don't like to repeat yourself, but here's something that worked:

section.main aside .trending {
    background:url(../images/icon_star.svg);
    background-size:75px 75px;
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-position:center;
}

section.main aside .find-it {
    background:url(../images/icon_marker.svg);
    background-size:75px 75px;
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-position:center;
}

section.main aside .tools {
    background:url(../images/icon_gear.svg);
    background-size:75px 75px;
    background-repeat:no-repeat;
    background-position:center;
}

It could most definitely be simplified by using any of the other common classes. But oh well, this one works. Of course, remove the appropriate attributes from the other classes as they're no longer being used.
