Linux Question

Why should I learn Linux CLI instead of Windows CLI?

I am learning web development with hopes of making it a career someday and I have come across something that I can't seem to get a clear answer on. I use windows 10. Always have used windows. I realize all OS's have they're pros/cons. I am not opposed to Linux (not buying mac due to pricepoints for value). I see a lot of recommendations to Linux's CLI. But I don't understand why. As far as I can tell (other than different command names) they have the same functionality (I may be mistaken).

Can anyone tell me if there is any difference, as far as employability, in Linux CLI and Windows CLI?

If you're running Windows 10, you're in luck! Bash (a very common Linux shell - or "CLI" as you call it) runs in Windows. Learn Bash. Then you can work in both.

Incidentally, the most common OS for a web server Linux. Learning the basics of Bash will make you more valuable to an employer. That doesn't mean you can't learn Powershell too. (Powershell is the Windows CLI).
