CSS Question

CSS file not found

The link to the css file was not working because it had smart quotes instead of ordinary ones (thanks, MS Word). Apologies for the obvious oversights - they were typed correctly in the actual files, but were hastily pasted here. The last two lines of the html document were accidentally in the css file.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Web Portfolio</title>
<link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="portfolio.css” media="screen" />
</head>
<body>
<h1> My Web Portfolio</h1>
<div>
<a href="#main">Skip to main content</a>
</div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>Me<br/>
<li><a href="mailto:Me@yahoo.com">Contact Me</a>
<li><a href ="http://www.kent.k12.wa.us/"> High School</a>
</ul>
</div>

<div id="main">
<ul>
<div><li><h2>Unit 2: Creating webpages with HTML</h2></li></div>
<p>Description:How to create webpages with HTML and what they are used for<p>
<p>Reflection:In unit 2 i learned how to code things. I also learned how to make lists. It was very useful i feel like my website is much better now. I learned how to make links to other websites. Creating a data table was confusing but we started learning about that.</p>
<div><li><h2>Unit Three: Formatting Web Pages with Style Sheets</h2></li></div>
<p>How CSS works and what role it plays<p>
<div><li><h2>Unit Four: Graphics</h2></li></div>
<p>How to create photo albums, buttons, and banners<p>
<div><li><h2>Unit Five: Scripting</h2></li></div>
<p>Scripting<p>
<div><li><h2>Unit Six: Quality Control</h2></li></div>
<p>How to make sure your website is good and high quality<p>
<div><li><h2>Unit Seven: Website Management and Authoring Tools</h2></li></div>
<p>Management of your site<p>
<div><li><h2>Unit Eight: Client Website</h2></li></div>
<p>Doing a website for a client<p>
</ul>
</div>
</body>
</html>

Here is the .CSS file:

body {
font-size: lem;
font-weight: normal;
font-family: Arial, Sans-serif;
color: #000000;
text-align: left;
background-color:#56FC03;
}

h1 {
font-size: 1.8em;
font-weight: bold;
font-family: Courier New;
color: #001EFF;
text-align: right;
}

h2 {
font-size: 1.8em;
font-weight: normal;
font-family: Adobe arabic;
color: #7300FF;
text-align: center;
}

div {
font-size: 1.2em;
font-weight: normal;
color: #FF1500;
text-align: left;
}

p {
font-size: 1.2em;
font-weight: normal;
font-family: Comic sans MS;
color: #060606;
text-align: right;
}

Thanks in advance.

Answer

Typo closing the link's href value, should be this quote " and not this one
